The mason behind this Indio business
I spent years as another mason's right hand, running jobs and learning to do the work carefully, before I opened Premier Indio Concrete and Masonry in Indio in 2017. Most of what I know about matching old mortar and building a sound wall, I learned by watching a good mason do it right.
Indio keeps growing, so our calls run from new block walls and pavers at newer houses to careful repairs on older brick and stone in the cities around it. We're best known for repairs that blend in and new walls built with care. What I care about most is the part of a job you can't see once it's finished, like the footing under a wall or how well each joint is packed, because that's what decides how long the work lasts. Working with us, from estimate to final look
The state requires a contractor's license for any job that needs a building permit, uses hired workers or runs $1,000 or more in labor and materials, and we're licensed and insured. Here's what you'll notice working with us.
You deal with the owner throughout
You deal with me from the first visit to the final look, so the person who quoted your job is the one who checks it. Your questions don't get passed along to someone who's never seen your house.
Mortar matched to what's already there
We match new mortar to the old in color and strength, so a repair blends in and doesn't put your brick at risk, since mortar that's too strong for older brick can crack the brick instead of the joint. On hot days we plan the work and look after fresh mortar so it sets properly instead of drying out too fast.
Estimates that separate now from later
Our estimates say what needs fixing now and what can wait, so you don't pay for work you don't need yet. If a wall only needs a few joints repointed, that's what we'll write up.

I look over the work and write the estimate myself, and it's free, done on site and comes with no obligation. If your job needs a permit, I'll tell you then, so it's part of the plan from the start.
Our crew does the work
Our own crew does the work, and if a permit is needed, we work it out with the city or county office for your address and pull it ourselves. I check the finished job with you before we're done.
